God Speaks….Even Through Chocolate

Did you know that God speaks even through chocolate wrappers? I had gotten a bag of Dove chocolate hearts after Valentine’s day. If you have ever eaten Dove chocolates, you know that the inside each foil wrapper contains a short message. As I was struggling one day with our whole financial picture, I opened a Dove chocolate to calm my nerves. It wasn’t the chocolate that calmed them that day. It was the message inside the wrapper. The message was a simple one but one that is exactly what God wants me to do. It said, “Trust with your heart not your head.” That’s right! I am supposed to have complete faith in what God is doing and not get wrapped up in what my head is telling me. Why is that such a hard lesson? No. I know why and it is my job to let those reasons fall away so that only God remains.
